Good day sir! My own situation is a very strange and ridiculous ordeal which I have managed to keep from family and friends for over 6yrs now. I think it started immediately after the death of my mum in 2010, but I do experience it on rare occasions before her death. Sometimes It happens in the daytime and afternoon, but normally occur during night time. It goes thus :
Whenever I lay on the bed to sleep, just like every normal human hoping to have a nice rest, it becomes a nightmare to me. What hurts me the most is that it happens not when am at sleep but when am conscious. I lay on the bed waiting to fall asleep, suddenly, I hear a very powerful rush of something that sounds like water or a malfunctioning microphone which gets stronger and louder by the seconds. It doesn't end there because while experiencing this unique phenomenon, my body starts to tremble and the blood rush increases allover my body and then, my whole body goes numb and I loose control of all parts of my body. It's as if I am been tied up with very tight and strong ropes which makes mobility very difficult. Worst of all, I also loose my voice. Even my mouth and lips are rendered useless as I loose the power to control anything. All these weird things happen simultaneously while I notice that another part of me { which I consider to be my soul or spirit} either ascending or descending somewhere but I know that a part of me moves very swiftly to a place unknown and that's where it gets more scary. Even before I get to that place, i notice some very tormentous strange images and sounds from unknown sources. Some coming towards me and some looking at me from afar while I still journey to wherever I was going to. All this while another part of me was still fighting very hard to regain control of my body. I struggle extremely hard to regain my body before getting to wherever the other part of me was going to. Even when I regain my body, I dare not lay back on my bed because that sudden sound of " rushing water" comes back again. What I do is that whenever I go through such ordeal, I put an earphone in both ears and start playing loud musics till dawn and it works quite well. Only that method makes me have a good and sound sleep during such moments. There are some times that it happens to me like 8 times before it finally leaves me alone. what makes it funny is that it happens to me during day time and afternoon. I remember the day I came back to the hall of residence after lectures and decided to take a quick rest before heading out to play football and immediately I landed on my bed just barely 40seconds on the bed and the attack came again. This time I was so frustrated that I decided not to fight it and let my "other body" go to wherever it was meant to go. After the usual routine of gory images and sounds which I was already accustomed to, something new happened. I finally appeared in a dimly lit passage of what appears to be a very beautiful house. It was strange, very strange because I saw people coming and going through the passage and whenever they did, they looked at me and smilled. I never knew where they were all heading to. I decided to stop that new experience by struggling as usual with my body from its normal bondage because I could hear sounds and footsteps of some students coming towards me. All these while, I was out for like 6mins which is the longest ever.
Whatever this is, I have no single clue and it has never being disclosed. Although I attend the Celestial church of Christ and my Dad is a Shepherd though not a full time ones because he was a senior civil servant before he retired. I'm the last born of the Family and it baffles me a lot that I have to go through all this alone without anybody to confide in.
