Beloved, before we go into our message for this week, I would like you to take this prayer point: “Anything that is making me powerless in the spiritual world, Lord Jesus, take it out of my life, in Jesus’ name.â€
Matthew 13:25 says, “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.â€
The greatest danger that a man faces in the spiritual world is what happens when he sleeps. The Bible divides sleep into two: Physical sleep and Spiritual sleep. Every normal person must engage in physical sleep to allow the body rest in order to be alive, and also to enable the body to be in constant continuous growth. Everybody sleeps physically, but not everyone sleeps spiritually. God Himself in His infinite wisdom has decided that a man should dream during his sleep. Dreams are therefore important in human life. However, some people’s spiritual sleep may be so deep that they forget everything they see in their dreams. There is danger in not remembering what you dream about.
Number one danger is that you miss God’s messages to you. God may be speaking to you through dreams, but when you wake up you don’t remember them.
Number 2 danger: All the enemies’ activities that you should have seen in the dream and acted upon when you wake up are forgotten. Therefore, forgetting dreams always is a very serious spiritual disease. Moreso, many spiritual defeats happen in people’s dreams. It is the manifestation of these dreams that happens in real life.
A sister had a dream when she was about eight years old. In that dream somebody said, “I want to go to the toilet.†The girl said, “Go to the toilet now.†Then the person said, “Your head is the toilet, your head is the toilet.†And the person began to defecate on her head, and at about 35 years of age, she was still not married. She said that something her within always told her to reject suitors. So, what is manifesting now in her life was planted through dreams. If she had learnt a little bit about spiritual warfare, she would have cancelled it right from then and her life would not have been affected. Some people dreamt that when they got to their offices they found that they were locked and somebody gave them letters. Somebody was forcefully fed in the dream and in real life, the person began to pass bloody stool. So many Christians suffer as a result of ignorance of what to do about the devil’s strategy. And many are falling prey to the tricks and devices of the devil in their dreams. Many people too, through their dreams have been made to believe lies and errors. The enemy has used dreams and spiritual slumber to confuse many people in marriage and in business. They would say, “I saw so so person in the dream doing business with me.†They now unite with the person, but are still not making any progress. These have happened to so many people in financial and marital matters.
What the devil plants in the lives of people in their dreams can be likened to weeds. There is always a proper plant in place before weeds come. The problem with weeds is that they compete with the real plant. They disturb the real plant, and can kill it if they are carrying diseases. These diseases can be transferred to the real plant.
WHAT IS A DREAM?
A dream is generally a revelation or vision of the activities going on in the spiritual world. A dream happens when a man is sleeping and his spirit is alive. It is a scene of the occurrences in the spiritual realm.
DIFFERENT FORMS OF DREAMS
 A dream may come as an activity- a situation whereby the dreamer is involved; he may see himself selling certain things. That is dream by activity.
A dream may come as an event: when the dreamer is an observer, looking at what is happening. The person is just a spectator. It may be an event that has occurred or is about to occur.
Any dream that you have and you always see yourself when you were a small child, or right where you were born, it is because something has been buried there for your sake. There is a magnet in that place, magnetising you to the place and that bondage must break.
A dream may come as a message for you to other people or as a direct message to you. A dream may come as an attack: You see yourself fighting with some people or some people are fighting you.
A certain sister had a dream where she saw somebody who came with a big stick to fight her. The sister said to the person, “I command you, in the name of Jesus, begin to use that your stick on your own head.†And the person began to use the stick on his head. She was able to do that because she understood the strategy and trick of the enemy.
Many people are feeding their bodies. Some even change the colour of their skin, some have their bath as many times as possible in a day just because they are looking after the body but they neglect the spirit. They spend time and other resources just looking after the body alone the one that becomes dust to dust and that may not live for more than 100 years and abandon their spirit which is eternal.
This is the reason many people are spiritually weak in their sleep. If you don’t give your spirit food, it would not be able to fight when the battle comes. If your heart is not right with God and you are still battling with sin, your spirit will be weak. This is why people get defeated. It is good for you to look after your body, but it is better to look after your spirit. A good example of what I am trying to say is, somebody who spends two hundred naira to buy a bangle but cannot spend ten naira to buy a book on how to receive the Holy Spirit, yet the person does not have the Holy Spirit. Such a person is looking after the body. The bangle will rot away, but the spirit remains. If you look after your spirit properly, it will look after you. If you abandon it and you don’t care, on the day when snakes and crocodiles come, it would run away; the snakes and the crocodiles would run after that spirit and bite it.
DREAMS COME FROM THREE SOURCES:

1. It could be from God.
God relates to man through dreams. Genesis 37:3-11 says, “Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age and he made him a coat of many colours. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him and could not speak peaceably unto him. And Joseph dreamed a dream and he told it his brethren and they hated him yet the more. And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed. For behold, we were binding sheaves in the field and lo, my sheaf arose and also stood upright and behold your sheaves stood round about and made obeisance to my sheaf. And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? Or shall thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams and for his words. And he dreamed yet another dream and told it his brethren and said, Behold I have dreamed a dream more and behold the sun and the moon and eleven stars made obeisance to me. And he told it to his father and to his brethren and his father rebuked him and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed?†Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth? And his brethren envied him, but his father observed the saying?†So, God related to Joseph and gave him the programme of his life through dreams.
Numbers 12:6 says, (We are establishing the fact that God speaks to people through dreams). “And he said, Hear now my words, if there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision and will speak unto him in a dream.†The popular Joel 2:28 says, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.†(This is the same thing as in Acts of Apostles 2:17). Jeremiah 23:28 says, “The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream, and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? Saith the Lord.†Matthew 2:12 says, “And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.†God warned the three wise men in a dream not to return to Herod. So, God can relate to you through dreams. Why does God do that?
God relates to man through dreams in order to teach him and to warn him of impending danger. Sometimes, God relates to men through dreams in order to rebuke them. You have just read about Joseph. God can reveal the plan of your life to you through dreams. Sometimes, God can come in a dream to encourage you, to direct you, to bless you, and to make a covenant with you, or to correct you. God spoke to Joseph in his dream about his life. The only problem with Joseph was that he did not learn how to keep his mouth shut. Solomon was a man who dreamt about a famine and the famine happened. Solomon, when he requested for wisdom, saw the Lord through a dream. Pilate was going to crucify Jesus and a night before that, God troubled his wife in a dream and she came to him and told him that a certain man would be brought to him and he must not touch him. And like most men who don’t understand spiritual things, he went ahead and got involved.
The dream which God gave to Joseph came to pass. Has God given you a dream about your life? You may ask: “How does one know whether it is God giving him a dream or not?†The first answer is in Jeremiah 29: 11. It says, “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.†So, any dream that is evil does not come from God. God does not send snakes to people. He does not put anybody inside water to be swimming. He does not create hindrance for people in their dreams. All those things are from the devil. If God has warned you in a dream to take action about something, you better do so now, that is the first step.
2. The second source which is man can be seen clearly in Ecclesiastics 5 : 3 and 7.
Verse 3 says, “For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by a multitude of words.†Verse 7: “For in the multitude of dreams and many words, there are also divers vanities but fear thou God.†And Isaiah 29: 8 says, “It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul has appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be that fight against mount Zion.†The point we are making is that a dream may come about as a result of what a person has been thinking about in his mind. All fornicators would be dreaming about fornication. Sad people would be dreaming about tragedy. Those who decide to fast but their minds are confused would be dreaming about food. Those who read bad books would be dreaming about what they read in the bad books. Those who watch terrible programmes on TV would be dreaming about what they watch. A songwriter said, “Count your blessings, and name them one by one.†If you count your sorrows before you sleep, you would dream of sorrow. And if your dreams are completely taken over by worldly things, then you have to be very careful. If you see yourself always jumping in a party in the dream, you have to be very very careful. Dreams from the flesh can be very deceptive especially if you have not crucified the flesh. Many people come for our meetings but they have really not crucified their flesh and because they have not done that, they lust for women in their hearts. Then in their dreams, they would be seeing these same women and would begin to claim that God is speaking to them.
Dreams can come from sickness. A sick prayerless person would have bad dreams. People with serious malaria and migraine would have such dreams. People with confused minds would be having senseless dreams. These are dreams from the flesh. If you do not allow fear to overcome you, such dreams would do you no harm. But if you are living in sin and you are dreaming of the sin then you are preparing for hell fire.
3. The third source is from the devil and his demons.
The devil uses dreams as one of his strategies to cause calamity and destruction. His mission is to steal, to kill and to destroy. Jesus said in the book of Matthew that when an evil spirit leaves a man it does not go far. It stays close and would be watching. It would say, “I will return to my house.†So, it regards the body of that man as its house. That is what satan does. The purpose of the devil is to destroy people and to bring back problems that have gone away. He plants terrible sicknesses in people’s lives in their dreams. Also, in the dream, the devil terrifies people, forms evil covenant with them and manipulates them to take wrong decisions. Many people see demonic white garment prophets in their dreams and then they believe it is of God. If you see somebody in white garment whose hair and beards are unkempt and he is looking so dirty and he begins to talk about the Bible, be not deceived, he is not of God but of the devil. It is the devil just trying to deceive you. 2 Corinthians 11: 14 says, “And no marvel; for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.†So, the devil is darkening the visions of so many people even in their dreams. All the dreams about accidents, attacks, somebody carrying a horn, somebody going to a room to close the door, or somebody finding a carbon copy of himself or herself and sometimes looking older, or somebody being tied down, or you open your Bible and somebody is closing it or you find that you have hair in the real world, but in the dream you are bald, or somebody gives you a bitter cup to drink, or somebody prepares a small coffin, all these dreams are from the devil. Somebody being lost in the forest, or somebody seeing a black object following him, eating in the dream, seeing snakes or water, or speaking and eating with dead relatives, especially dead relatives who did not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ before they died or being involved with spirit husbands, spirit wives or masquerades, these are all from the devil.
Masquerade is the embodiment of all the evil that we have in this environment. So, anybody who dreams about masquerades need to pray. Some people are not pursued by these masquerades but they watch them display. This is a different problem entirely. Many would see themselves fly without wings to a particular place where evil meetings are held and the participants discuss things that they do not understand. Or somebody who has not been pregnant before finds herself labouring in the dream or somebody who is already married getting married again in the dream. Or you are being attacked by cats and dogs. These are dreams from the devil.
WEAPONS OF WARFARE
In the Bible, we find many weapons that we can use to arrest or destroy the works of the enemy. When you try one and it does not work, then you look for another one. By the time you try three weapons, one would have worked. The Psalmist carried five stones when he was going to kill Goliath. Why did he pick five? He did that because he felt that the first one may miss the target then he would use the second one, the third, the fourth and the fifth. But he discovered that he did not have to use more than one. And the Holy Spirit grabbed that one and took it to the correct target. Also, in the Bible, you find Jesus applying different solutions to the same problem. For example, for the blind, sometimes He would say, “Receive your sight.†Sometimes, He would say, “Go and wash.†Sometimes He would say, “Go and show yourself to so, so and so.†It is because the sources of the problems are different. Some stubborn things will require a combination of weapons before they succumb to the power of God. For example, if you have a dream where somebody took your property, when you wake up, don’t cry. Tell the Holy Spirit to reach out and bring the thing back. That is the first thing. Command the thief to appear with the property. When it appears, collect it and bind the demon. Don’t expect to see the demon physically because God may not show him to you. Sometimes, God does not show you those things because if you see the person, you may collapse out of shock because of who he may turn out to be. So, God may not show you. But at that command, they have to appear. They have no option, for Jesus had said, “Behold, you will hear the voice of the Son of man and those that are in the grave and in the water will come forth and they would come to judgment.†It is the voice that called Lazarus to come forth from the grave. When that Voice commands a spirit to come forth, it must obey. It has no option. So, don’t say, “I have commanded them but did not see them.†They have to come, it is just that you cannot see them. If you say that, they would go back. They have come, it is now for you to work on them. Then you bind the demon. You can release the arrow and thunder of God on the head of the demon. You can tell the arrow to remain permanent, then you recover your property and cover every other property that you have with the blood of Jesus.
THESE ARE EXAMPLES OF HOW TO USE THE WEAPONS
If you see masquerades in your dream, arrest the masquerades as a policeman would arrest a thief, then call the consuming fire of God upon them or cast them into a place of torment.
If you dreamt that you were drinking dirty water, it means that spiritual poison has been introduced into you to weaken your spiritual life. What to do is to command the blood of Jesus to enter into your stomach and purge you.
If you see yourself swimming in dirty water, it means that the devil is trying to deceive you and lead you into sin. So, command that water to dry up, in Jesus’ name. Also, you can pollute the water with the blood of Jesus. When the blood of Jesus enters the water, then the Holy Spirit would be able to operate there. Lastly, command the blood of Jesus to cleanse your body.
If you find yourself drowning in the water and crying for help, it means that difficult times are ahead of you. What you should do is to nullify that hard time, in Jesus’ name. Call the Holy Spirit to help you and then command that water to dry up from your body, in Jesus’ name.
If you dream that you are about to go to a place and there is a river separating you from that place. When you wake up, command that water to dry up, tell the Spirit of God to make a bridge above that water and then command yourself to climb over it, in Jesus’ name.
If you find yourself eating dry fish or meat, it is an attack from witches and wizards. What they are giving you is human flesh to eat. If you find yourself always taking cola drinks, you are drinking blood. What you should do is to purge yourself with the blood of Jesus and pray to vomit every evil consumption, in the name of Jesus. Some people would even prepare the things themselves but they might not understand where they got the materials from and they would begin to eat.
If you find yourself eating rice and beans, it is one of the ways that the devil introduces small demons into people. You have to purge yourself. If you find yourself eating solid food e.g amala, (Yam flour meal), fufu (Cassava flour meal) and eba (Cassava meal), pounded yam, etc. this is poison to put terrible sickness into your body. Ask the Holy Spirit to purge you and tell the devil that his instrument of attack against you will not prosper.
Some people find themselves eating sand or dirt, this is an attack from the devil to cause spiritual heaviness and to wear out their spiritual power. Ask the Holy Spirit to purge you.
When somebody is climbing a mountain with great difficulty, it means that difficult situations and hindrances are on the way; so command the mountain to move, in Jesus’ name and cast it into the sea and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you through what you want to do. If you find yourself in a car in a serious traffic hold-up, and you have a feeling that you have to be somewhere and you are late, it means there is a hindrance to prevent you from achieving what you intended at the right time. Ask the Holy Spirit to blow its spiritual siren and clear the road for you, in the name of Jesus.
If a sister finds herself nursing a baby, the baby could be hers or just any baby, it means there is hindrance and distraction in the form of trouble and affliction. Bind that baby, rebuke the spirit and cast the baby into the fire, in the name of Jesus and you would see what will begin to happen. If you see yourself carrying a heavy load and the load is so much, it means that the devil is trying to put problems in your way. You have to reject the load. Or if you find a load and you are unable to carry it, it means that you would find it difficult to fulfil your responsibilities. Ask the Holy Spirit to lift the load and resist the opposition from the devil.
If somebody finds himself or herself cooking on fire and after many hours, the food is not done, it means there is a hindrance. Ask the Holy Spirit to begin to cook that food. If you find yourself going somewhere and the vehicle you want to use for the journey breaks down, it is an attack on the wheel of the progress of your life. Ask the Holy Spirit of God to repair that vehicle and put it in good condition and begin to rebuke the devil.
If you find yourself in darkness, it is spiritual blindness which may lead you into very grievous sins if you are not careful. Command the light of God to shine into your life.
If you find that a strong wind is blowing, it means tribulation. Command the wind to stop and rebuke it, in Jesus’ name.
If you find yourself in a vehicle and you do not know where you are going and nobody else knows, it means that you are being taken away from your place of blessing to a place of desolation. You may be going from Jerusalem to Jericho. Recall that vehicle, set it ablaze and then ask the Holy Spirit to bring you back to that place of blessing.
If somebody has an accident in the dream, it is an attempt by the devil to put pain in his body. Recall the vehicle, destroy it and then ask the angel of God in charge of your health to treat you. If you are travelling and the road is becoming longer than necessary, it means that the devil is delaying your goodness and blessing. Ask the Holy Spirit to straighten the journey and take you to your divine destination.
If you are shot in the dream, it means that affliction of terrible sickness and poverty are on the way. This may lead to death. Many people who were shot like that never woke up to tell the story. When you wake up, remove the gunshot, in Jesus’ name. Then ask the angels to treat you and then send the bullets back to the sender. If you find yourself wearing rags in the dream, it means poverty and lack. Ask the Holy Spirit to remove the rags and to cleanse you with the blood of Jesus.
If you find yourself naked, God does not make people naked. It means disgrace and insecurity. Pray that the Holy Spirit should clothe you immediately and remove from you any object of disgrace. If a person falls into a pit and is unable to come out, it means spiritual impediment and no progress at all. Ask the Holy Spirit and the angels of God to lift you up. Order the enemies to fall into the same pit because if they do not fall there, they will dig another pit for you again.
If you dreamt that somebody came into your room and stole your credentials or somebody sat on them, it means that those documents, although you have them, are useless. You will not be able to get a good job with them. Immediately you wake up, tell the Holy Spirit to search for those thieves and bring them back. Fire the arrow of God against the evil thieves and bind them. Collect your documents back and then stand on the word of God which says that the rod of the wicked shall not fall on the lot of the righteous.
If your clothes are stolen, it means the enemies are attacking your honour and glory. Ask the Holy Spirit to find the thief and get your clothes back.
If you are married but suddenly you begin to see yourself in wedding garment again in the dream, it is an attack on your marriage. If a single sister finds herself wearing such a garment, she would find it difficult to find a husband. So, she must ensure that the wedding garment is sent back to the owner when she wakes up.
If somebody steals your Bible, it is an attack on your spiritual power. You must resist the devil, in Jesus’ name. You must command the Holy Spirit to bring the Bible back, in Jesus’ name. If you find your property being stolen or your house being burgled, it means spiritual emptiness. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring them back.
If you notice that your child, husband or wife is missing in the dream, it means that the death of that person is being planned and you must rebuke the spirit of death upon the person.
If somebody is being pursued by a masquerade in the dream, it is witchcraft attack on the life of that person. And the person must arrest the masquerade as I said ealier.
Anyone being attacked by a dog or cat must really pray. These two animals are very dangerous in the spirit world. They can lead to death if proper action is not taken. If you find a dog licking your body, it means that you have a covenant with sexual demons. You should go for deliverance and sanitation quickly.
You know that it is not good to see snakes in your dream, so when you see them, bind them and send the fire of God upon them. The same thing goes for crocodiles and lizards. If you see somebody flogging you in the dream, then you must flog the person back. When you wake up, collect the whip and flog the person back.
If you find yourself in a court room and you have a lawyer and a judge there who are against you, accusing you of doing something and you know that you are not guilty of the offence, it means that severe problems are awaiting you. You must call everybody in that court together and bind them.
If somebody curses you in a dream you must retaliate.
If you are bleeding, it is an attack by witches and wizards.
If you find yourself selling things in the market, it is imprisonment or enslavement by the devil. You must renounce every appointment that you have in that market.
If you are a woman and you find another woman committing immorality with you in the dream, it is the demon called spirit husband or spirit wife. You must rebuke that spirit, in the name of the Lord. You must reject it with every hatred that you have and cancel all appointments with her and ban her from visiting you again. If you see someone you know, and you find that the person is practising immorality with you, it is a spirit that wants to interfere with your marital or sexual life. You must rebuke that spirit and minister to your own sexual organ. You talk to it immediately and cover it with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. These are examples of the strategies of the devil in the dream.
It does not matter how long you have had these dreams. If as you are reading this message, the Spirit of God reminds you of any evil dream you have had in the past, you can begin to take the necessary steps.
Now, we know how the enemies sow weeds. My question to you is, “Will you allow the enemy to continue to sow weeds in your life? You must recall and deal with them.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Every mermaid spirit working against me, I pollute your water, in the name of Jesus.
2. Lord Jesus, cleanse me internally with your blood, in Jesus’ name.
3. Command the thunder of God against the citadel of any satanic power that is against you, in the name of Jesus.
4. You bad spirit of the air, the water and the forest working against me, receive the fire of God, in the name of Jesus.
5. Try to remember your dream and pray like this: Every bad thing that the enemy has done against me in the dream, I retaliate now and I command the Holy Spirit to repair the damage done, in the name of Jesus.
6. As from today, any power that comes to attack me in the dream, tremble and be paralysed, in Jesus’ name. Slept

Any dream that you have and you always see yourself when you were a small child, or right where you were born, it is because something has been buried there for your sake. There is a magnet in that place, magnetising you to the place and that bondage must break.
A dream may come as a message for you to other people or as a direct message to you. A dream may come as an attack: You see yourself fighting with some people or some people are fighting you.
A certain sister had a dream where she saw somebody who came with a big stick to fight her. The sister said to the person, “I command you, in the name of Jesus, begin to use that your stick on your own head.†And the person began to use the stick on his head. She was able to do that because she understood the strategy and trick of the enemy.
Many people are feeding their bodies. Some even change the colour of their skin, some have their bath as many times as possible in a day just because they are looking after the body but they neglect the spirit. They spend time and other resources just looking after the body alone the one that becomes dust to dust and that may not live for more than 100 years and abandon their spirit which is eternal.
This is the reason many people are spiritually weak in their sleep. If you don’t give your spirit food, it would not be able to fight when the battle comes. If your heart is not right with God and you are still battling with sin, your spirit will be weak. This is why people get defeated. It is good for you to look after your body, but it is better to look after your spirit. A good example of what I am trying to say is, somebody who spends two hundred naira to buy a bangle but cannot spend ten naira to buy a book on how to receive the Holy Spirit, yet the person does not have the Holy Spirit. Such a person is looking after the body. The bangle will rot away, but the spirit remains. If you look after your spirit properly, it will look after you. If you abandon it and you don’t care, on the day when snakes and crocodiles come, it would run away; the snakes and the crocodiles would run after that spirit and bite it.
DREAMS COME FROM THREE SOURCES:

1. It could be from God.
God relates to man through dreams. Genesis 37:3-11 says, “Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age and he made him a coat of many colours. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him and could not speak peaceably unto him. And Joseph dreamed a dream and he told it his brethren and they hated him yet the more. And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed. For behold, we were binding sheaves in the field and lo, my sheaf arose and also stood upright and behold your sheaves stood round about and made obeisance to my sheaf. And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? Or shall thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams and for his words. And he dreamed yet another dream and told it his brethren and said, Behold I have dreamed a dream more and behold the sun and the moon and eleven stars made obeisance to me. And he told it to his father and to his brethren and his father rebuked him and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed?†Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth? And his brethren envied him, but his father observed the saying?†So, God related to Joseph and gave him the programme of his life through dreams.
Numbers 12:6 says, (We are establishing the fact that God speaks to people through dreams). “And he said, Hear now my words, if there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision and will speak unto him in a dream.†The popular Joel 2:28 says, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.†(This is the same thing as in Acts of Apostles 2:17). Jeremiah 23:28 says, “The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream, and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? Saith the Lord.†Matthew 2:12 says, “And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.†God warned the three wise men in a dream not to return to Herod. So, God can relate to you through dreams. Why does God do that?
God relates to man through dreams in order to teach him and to warn him of impending danger. Sometimes, God relates to men through dreams in order to rebuke them. You have just read about Joseph. God can reveal the plan of your life to you through dreams. Sometimes, God can come in a dream to encourage you, to direct you, to bless you, and to make a covenant with you, or to correct you. God spoke to Joseph in his dream about his life. The only problem with Joseph was that he did not learn how to keep his mouth shut. Solomon was a man who dreamt about a famine and the famine happened. Solomon, when he requested for wisdom, saw the Lord through a dream. Pilate was going to crucify Jesus and a night before that, God troubled his wife in a dream and she came to him and told him that a certain man would be brought to him and he must not touch him. And like most men who don’t understand spiritual things, he went ahead and got involved.
The dream which God gave to Joseph came to pass. Has God given you a dream about your life? You may ask: “How does one know whether it is God giving him a dream or not?†The first answer is in Jeremiah 29: 11. It says, “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.†So, any dream that is evil does not come from God. God does not send snakes to people. He does not put anybody inside water to be swimming. He does not create hindrance for people in their dreams. All those things are from the devil. If God has warned you in a dream to take action about something, you better do so now, that is the first step.
2. The second source which is man can be seen clearly in Ecclesiastics 5 : 3 and 7.
Verse 3 says, “For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by a multitude of words.†Verse 7: “For in the multitude of dreams and many words, there are also divers vanities but fear thou God.†And Isaiah 29: 8 says, “It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul has appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be that fight against mount Zion.†The point we are making is that a dream may come about as a result of what a person has been thinking about in his mind. All fornicators would be dreaming about fornication. Sad people would be dreaming about tragedy. Those who decide to fast but their minds are confused would be dreaming about food. Those who read bad books would be dreaming about what they read in the bad books. Those who watch terrible programmes on TV would be dreaming about what they watch. A songwriter said, “Count your blessings, and name them one by one.†If you count your sorrows before you sleep, you would dream of sorrow. And if your dreams are completely taken over by worldly things, then you have to be very careful. If you see yourself always jumping in a party in the dream, you have to be very very careful. Dreams from the flesh can be very deceptive especially if you have not crucified the flesh. Many people come for our meetings but they have really not crucified their flesh and because they have not done that, they lust for women in their hearts. Then in their dreams, they would be seeing these same women and would begin to claim that God is speaking to them.
Dreams can come from sickness. A sick prayerless person would have bad dreams. People with serious malaria and migraine would have such dreams. People with confused minds would be having senseless dreams. These are dreams from the flesh. If you do not allow fear to overcome you, such dreams would do you no harm. But if you are living in sin and you are dreaming of the sin then you are preparing for hell fire.
3. The third source is from the devil and his demons.
The devil uses dreams as one of his strategies to cause calamity and destruction. His mission is to steal, to kill and to destroy. Jesus said in the book of Matthew that when an evil spirit leaves a man it does not go far. It stays close and would be watching. It would say, “I will return to my house.†So, it regards the body of that man as its house. That is what satan does. The purpose of the devil is to destroy people and to bring back problems that have gone away. He plants terrible sicknesses in people’s lives in their dreams. Also, in the dream, the devil terrifies people, forms evil covenant with them and manipulates them to take wrong decisions. Many people see demonic white garment prophets in their dreams and then they believe it is of God. If you see somebody in white garment whose hair and beards are unkempt and he is looking so dirty and he begins to talk about the Bible, be not deceived, he is not of God but of the devil. It is the devil just trying to deceive you. 2 Corinthians 11: 14 says, “And no marvel; for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.†So, the devil is darkening the visions of so many people even in their dreams. All the dreams about accidents, attacks, somebody carrying a horn, somebody going to a room to close the door, or somebody finding a carbon copy of himself or herself and sometimes looking older, or somebody being tied down, or you open your Bible and somebody is closing it or you find that you have hair in the real world, but in the dream you are bald, or somebody gives you a bitter cup to drink, or somebody prepares a small coffin, all these dreams are from the devil. Somebody being lost in the forest, or somebody seeing a black object following him, eating in the dream, seeing snakes or water, or speaking and eating with dead relatives, especially dead relatives who did not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ before they died or being involved with spirit husbands, spirit wives or masquerades, these are all from the devil.
Masquerade is the embodiment of all the evil that we have in this environment. So, anybody who dreams about masquerades need to pray. Some people are not pursued by these masquerades but they watch them display. This is a different problem entirely. Many would see themselves fly without wings to a particular place where evil meetings are held and the participants discuss things that they do not understand. Or somebody who has not been pregnant before finds herself labouring in the dream or somebody who is already married getting married again in the dream. Or you are being attacked by cats and dogs. These are dreams from the devil.
WEAPONS OF WARFARE
In the Bible, we find many weapons that we can use to arrest or destroy the works of the enemy. When you try one and it does not work, then you look for another one. By the time you try three weapons, one would have worked. The Psalmist carried five stones when he was going to kill Goliath. Why did he pick five? He did that because he felt that the first one may miss the target then he would use the second one, the third, the fourth and the fifth. But he discovered that he did not have to use more than one. And the Holy Spirit grabbed that one and took it to the correct target. Also, in the Bible, you find Jesus applying different solutions to the same problem. For example, for the blind, sometimes He would say, “Receive your sight.†Sometimes, He would say, “Go and wash.†Sometimes He would say, “Go and show yourself to so, so and so.†It is because the sources of the problems are different. Some stubborn things will require a combination of weapons before they succumb to the power of God. For example, if you have a dream where somebody took your property, when you wake up, don’t cry. Tell the Holy Spirit to reach out and bring the thing back. That is the first thing. Command the thief to appear with the property. When it appears, collect it and bind the demon. Don’t expect to see the demon physically because God may not show him to you. Sometimes, God does not show you those things because if you see the person, you may collapse out of shock because of who he may turn out to be. So, God may not show you. But at that command, they have to appear. They have no option, for Jesus had said, “Behold, you will hear the voice of the Son of man and those that are in the grave and in the water will come forth and they would come to judgment.†It is the voice that called Lazarus to come forth from the grave. When that Voice commands a spirit to come forth, it must obey. It has no option. So, don’t say, “I have commanded them but did not see them.†They have to come, it is just that you cannot see them. If you say that, they would go back. They have come, it is now for you to work on them. Then you bind the demon. You can release the arrow and thunder of God on the head of the demon. You can tell the arrow to remain permanent, then you recover your property and cover every other property that you have with the blood of Jesus.
THESE ARE EXAMPLES OF HOW TO USE THE WEAPONS
If you see masquerades in your dream, arrest the masquerades as a policeman would arrest a thief, then call the consuming fire of God upon them or cast them into a place of torment.
If you dreamt that you were drinking dirty water, it means that spiritual poison has been introduced into you to weaken your spiritual life. What to do is to command the blood of Jesus to enter into your stomach and purge you.
If you see yourself swimming in dirty water, it means that the devil is trying to deceive you and lead you into sin. So, command that water to dry up, in Jesus’ name. Also, you can pollute the water with the blood of Jesus. When the blood of Jesus enters the water, then the Holy Spirit would be able to operate there. Lastly, command the blood of Jesus to cleanse your body.
If you find yourself drowning in the water and crying for help, it means that difficult times are ahead of you. What you should do is to nullify that hard time, in Jesus’ name. Call the Holy Spirit to help you and then command that water to dry up from your body, in Jesus’ name.
If you dream that you are about to go to a place and there is a river separating you from that place. When you wake up, command that water to dry up, tell the Spirit of God to make a bridge above that water and then command yourself to climb over it, in Jesus’ name.
If you find yourself eating dry fish or meat, it is an attack from witches and wizards. What they are giving you is human flesh to eat. If you find yourself always taking cola drinks, you are drinking blood. What you should do is to purge yourself with the blood of Jesus and pray to vomit every evil consumption, in the name of Jesus. Some people would even prepare the things themselves but they might not understand where they got the materials from and they would begin to eat.
If you find yourself eating rice and beans, it is one of the ways that the devil introduces small demons into people. You have to purge yourself. If you find yourself eating solid food e.g amala, (Yam flour meal), fufu (Cassava flour meal) and eba (Cassava meal), pounded yam, etc. this is poison to put terrible sickness into your body. Ask the Holy Spirit to purge you and tell the devil that his instrument of attack against you will not prosper.
Some people find themselves eating sand or dirt, this is an attack from the devil to cause spiritual heaviness and to wear out their spiritual power. Ask the Holy Spirit to purge you.
When somebody is climbing a mountain with great difficulty, it means that difficult situations and hindrances are on the way; so command the mountain to move, in Jesus’ name and cast it into the sea and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you through what you want to do. If you find yourself in a car in a serious traffic hold-up, and you have a feeling that you have to be somewhere and you are late, it means there is a hindrance to prevent you from achieving what you intended at the right time. Ask the Holy Spirit to blow its spiritual siren and clear the road for you, in the name of Jesus.
If a sister finds herself nursing a baby, the baby could be hers or just any baby, it means there is hindrance and distraction in the form of trouble and affliction. Bind that baby, rebuke the spirit and cast the baby into the fire, in the name of Jesus and you would see what will begin to happen. If you see yourself carrying a heavy load and the load is so much, it means that the devil is trying to put problems in your way. You have to reject the load. Or if you find a load and you are unable to carry it, it means that you would find it difficult to fulfil your responsibilities. Ask the Holy Spirit to lift the load and resist the opposition from the devil.
If somebody finds himself or herself cooking on fire and after many hours, the food is not done, it means there is a hindrance. Ask the Holy Spirit to begin to cook that food. If you find yourself going somewhere and the vehicle you want to use for the journey breaks down, it is an attack on the wheel of the progress of your life. Ask the Holy Spirit of God to repair that vehicle and put it in good condition and begin to rebuke the devil.
If you find yourself in darkness, it is spiritual blindness which may lead you into very grievous sins if you are not careful. Command the light of God to shine into your life.
If you find that a strong wind is blowing, it means tribulation. Command the wind to stop and rebuke it, in Jesus’ name.
If you find yourself in a vehicle and you do not know where you are going and nobody else knows, it means that you are being taken away from your place of blessing to a place of desolation. You may be going from Jerusalem to Jericho. Recall that vehicle, set it ablaze and then ask the Holy Spirit to bring you back to that place of blessing.
If somebody has an accident in the dream, it is an attempt by the devil to put pain in his body. Recall the vehicle, destroy it and then ask the angel of God in charge of your health to treat you. If you are travelling and the road is becoming longer than necessary, it means that the devil is delaying your goodness and blessing. Ask the Holy Spirit to straighten the journey and take you to your divine destination.
If you are shot in the dream, it means that affliction of terrible sickness and poverty are on the way. This may lead to death. Many people who were shot like that never woke up to tell the story. When you wake up, remove the gunshot, in Jesus’ name. Then ask the angels to treat you and then send the bullets back to the sender. If you find yourself wearing rags in the dream, it means poverty and lack. Ask the Holy Spirit to remove the rags and to cleanse you with the blood of Jesus.
If you find yourself naked, God does not make people naked. It means disgrace and insecurity. Pray that the Holy Spirit should clothe you immediately and remove from you any object of disgrace. If a person falls into a pit and is unable to come out, it means spiritual impediment and no progress at all. Ask the Holy Spirit and the angels of God to lift you up. Order the enemies to fall into the same pit because if they do not fall there, they will dig another pit for you again.
If you dreamt that somebody came into your room and stole your credentials or somebody sat on them, it means that those documents, although you have them, are useless. You will not be able to get a good job with them. Immediately you wake up, tell the Holy Spirit to search for those thieves and bring them back. Fire the arrow of God against the evil thieves and bind them. Collect your documents back and then stand on the word of God which says that the rod of the wicked shall not fall on the lot of the righteous.
If your clothes are stolen, it means the enemies are attacking your honour and glory. Ask the Holy Spirit to find the thief and get your clothes back.
If you are married but suddenly you begin to see yourself in wedding garment again in the dream, it is an attack on your marriage. If a single sister finds herself wearing such a garment, she would find it difficult to find a husband. So, she must ensure that the wedding garment is sent back to the owner when she wakes up.
If somebody steals your Bible, it is an attack on your spiritual power. You must resist the devil, in Jesus’ name. You must command the Holy Spirit to bring the Bible back, in Jesus’ name. If you find your property being stolen or your house being burgled, it means spiritual emptiness. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring them back.
If you notice that your child, husband or wife is missing in the dream, it means that the death of that person is being planned and you must rebuke the spirit of death upon the person.
If somebody is being pursued by a masquerade in the dream, it is witchcraft attack on the life of that person. And the person must arrest the masquerade as I said ealier.
Anyone being attacked by a dog or cat must really pray. These two animals are very dangerous in the spirit world. They can lead to death if proper action is not taken. If you find a dog licking your body, it means that you have a covenant with sexual demons. You should go for deliverance and sanitation quickly.
You know that it is not good to see snakes in your dream, so when you see them, bind them and send the fire of God upon them. The same thing goes for crocodiles and lizards. If you see somebody flogging you in the dream, then you must flog the person back. When you wake up, collect the whip and flog the person back.
If you find yourself in a court room and you have a lawyer and a judge there who are against you, accusing you of doing something and you know that you are not guilty of the offence, it means that severe problems are awaiting you. You must call everybody in that court together and bind them.
If somebody curses you in a dream you must retaliate.
If you are bleeding, it is an attack by witches and wizards.
If you find yourself selling things in the market, it is imprisonment or enslavement by the devil. You must renounce every appointment that you have in that market.
If you are a woman and you find another woman committing immorality with you in the dream, it is the demon called spirit husband or spirit wife. You must rebuke that spirit, in the name of the Lord. You must reject it with every hatred that you have and cancel all appointments with her and ban her from visiting you again. If you see someone you know, and you find that the person is practising immorality with you, it is a spirit that wants to interfere with your marital or sexual life. You must rebuke that spirit and minister to your own sexual organ. You talk to it immediately and cover it with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. These are examples of the strategies of the devil in the dream.
It does not matter how long you have had these dreams. If as you are reading this message, the Spirit of God reminds you of any evil dream you have had in the past, you can begin to take the necessary steps.
Now, we know how the enemies sow weeds. My question to you is, “Will you allow the enemy to continue to sow weeds in your life? You must recall and deal with them.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Every mermaid spirit working against me, I pollute your water, in the name of Jesus.
2. Lord Jesus, cleanse me internally with your blood, in Jesus’ name.
3. Command the thunder of God against the citadel of any satanic power that is against you, in the name of Jesus.
4. You bad spirit of the air, the water and the forest working against me, receive the fire of God, in the name of Jesus.
5. Try to remember your dream and pray like this: Every bad thing that the enemy has done against me in the dream, I retaliate now and I command the Holy Spirit to repair the damage done, in the name of Jesus.
6. As from today, any power that comes to attack me in the dream, tremble and be paralysed, in Jesus’ name. Slept
